Take this for what it's worth. I had a young gentleman observe a hyfax install I was doing and wanted to know why it slid on all but the last 6-8" without forcing it. I can't stand the look of discolored corroded aluminum so I have powdercoated many of my skids. That smooth surface, plus...
I just finished installing Val's A-arm/bellcrank bushings on my second Procross sled, a '17 with only 1200 miles I bought. I find they make a major improvement over the mass produced stuff that is stock. It's time-consuming like anything else on todays tight chassis but well worth the result. I...
It would take more time than it is worth to mess with re-using the warmers. Order a set from RSI for Cat sleds. They work better, are higher quality and plug in.
I'd like to understand what the advantage is? It seems like you're going down to a single point of contact of a set-screw vs. the 340-350 degrees of contact of a snap-ring against the inner race? It may be slight but I would expect the set-screw to booger the shaft making another obstacle to...
I should add that I use a handlebar stand in addition to a rubber tire chock to keep these Procross chassis from tipping too far to the side. I don't recall where I bought it but this is the same thing.

We never unhook the front on a Procross chassis with the slide-action skid. With the skid turned out from the tunnel the front arm slides rearward enough and off the bar. If it is a struggle go ahead and remove the short arms of the springs to collapse the rear arm for removal. The slot on the...
There's an easier way for skid removal and no reason to take out the front crossshaft or loosen the track, springs etc., especially if you have a helper. Put the sled on it's side and remove a rear bolt. Switch sides and remove the remaining bolt, balloon the track slightly forward and lift the...
Use your noggin. If those parts break and somehow stab the track at speed or you wreck or get pitched over the bars it's will get painful and expensive.

Quick and works well. Extend it into...
