My sled is near finished at the dealer. Yamaha requested all my burnt and broke components back for evaluation. Who knows what they will actually do with them, but maybe sometihng will get solved for the 2015 sleds.
My dealer has been awesome! keeping me updated, letting me know when parts show up. Currently they are waiting on the Oil Hose below the muffler, that's it. crossing my fingers for getting it back this week sometime.
if it was just the exhaust i would have done that without taking it to the dealer. But it was exhaust, burnt exterior panels, burnt oil lines, coolant lines, etc.
I still don't have my sled back, going on 4 weeks now. Anyone have any good advise? Very frustrated at this point. Best winter in Michigan and i have sat on the sidelines for the past month. :(
I have also had the same experience. Sled has been at the dealer for 4 weeks now for the exhaust issue that most are having around 1900-2100 miles. Yamaha customer service pretty has told me to get fu*$#@!! I am a very upset customer at this point.
I personally called a yamaha rep and also got the answer that they have not seen this problem. Yet when mine broke in copper harbor, the dealership in Ishpeming had 4 sleds with the same issue that were rentals, the dealer i took my sled to for warranty (Hackers Yamaha in houghton lake) also...
Mine has been in the dealership for 3 weeks now waiting on parts. melted my boot while i was riding and caused the sled to run terrible. Burned belly pan, and both side panels, all lower oil lines and coolant lines. Ruined my Copper harbor UP trip. had to have my sled towed back to our...
I ordered the Curve XS system with the nicer hardware, NOT the trail system.
Black skis, black loops
Viper mounting hardware
6" shaper carbides.
I Did not buy anything but that. I didn't buy the anti dart items or the additional 70 dollar brackets for trail riding. Basically...
If you want to be certain you get no push when riging aggresive in a trail.. these skis are a must have. I have no fear coming in hot and holding the lower corner... after 50 miles of riding i knew it wasn't going to push or slide and the harder I rode, the more impressed I was.
It's been...
i went with 6" shapers and it's crazy how hard it hooks in the turns. Glad I took sean's advise and rocked the 6" carbide and didn't go with the 7.5" shapers. That would have been major major overkill.
