Hey guys, just wondering your recommendations on how many studs I should put in my Nytro? I was thinking 144, but I am not sure if this will be enough. I have never owned a sled with studs before, but I would really like to try them, mainly for the safety reasons, but if they make the sled pull...
Do you think 144 studs is enough? I am putting studs in myself, and I am not sure what to put in. I was thinking 144 too, but I have been told to put 192 in, which seems like way to many to me. Just wondering your guys opinion.
What do you mean bringing up the past? I never posted anything bad about the Nytro. I didn't have any of the problems listed on this forum. I only logged on 1100 miles, but that is because I traded my Phazer in February. The Phazer was a sled I had problems with.

Definitely make sure you remove the gasket from the engine block, it will stick. The only engine failure my dealer has ever dealt with since yamaha started building only 4-stroke sleds, was due to double o-ringing the oil filter, and Yamaha still covered half of the repair costs. I don't think...

You say they updated the rear suspension for "your" Phazer. Did they offer the same for the thousands of other sleds they sold? Hearing alot of ones and twos, HAVE THEY STEPPED UP TO DO A LARGE SCALE UPDATE???? I have been asking this for a couple of days now. I think the answer...
Yamaha updated the entire rear suspension on my 2007 Phazer FX. New front arm, link center idler wheels, and bushings. My Nytro doesn't have any of the bending that some of you guys have, but I'm sure Yamaha will take care of the problem.

Only 1378 miles on my FX this year (lack of snow in east central MN) and I love it. I am also thinking of a revalve in the rear shock. The center and ski shocks seem to be good, but that rear just don't cut. I am very satisfied with the power for my style of riding (in the ditch and tight twisty...
Rfabro, how do you adjust the rebound in the rear shock? I thought they only had compression damping in the rear, which is turned all the way up on mine. Do you have any idea were I could get these shocks revalved? I have never had any shocks rebuilt before and have no clue were to start...
My FX does the same thing, and it seems like the thing just keeps getting softer and softer, and rebounds less. When I first started riding it, I left the torsions on the soft setting, and I now am on the hard setting, and the thing still bottoms out. I only have 1450 miles on the thing, so I...
I have been riding mine on some pretty rough trails (need some fresh snow to groom) up by Virginia and Ely in Minnesota. I have 450 miles on it and I haven't had any of the problems that you are telling us. I did bend the tunnel back in December, but that was my own dumb fault, not Yamaha. Don't...
When I had my FX in for the new tunnel, they found that mine was leaking and said it had a faulty seal. They also had one on the showroom floor that was doing the same thing.
I did bring the FX in yesterday, after they looked into it more. They are thinking that if they can get the top sheet metal piece (the one with holes for cooling the exhaust) that it may not be that bad of a fix. They won't be able to find out until monday, but the way the microfiche is showing...
I called the dealer and they are saying $1600 just for a new tunnel, and around 15 hours labor. Good thing I have insurance I guess. I will hopefully be bringing it in today or tomorrow. I will definately be doing something with that hole when I get it back. This is the first time I smashed a...
I have only 150 miles on my phazer and I made a big ooops. I was riding on a trail near my dads cabin yesterday, and snow conditions were decent, but since it is a few degrees above freezing during the day and cold at night the trails were a little slick. I wasn't going that fast, but when I...
How much snow did you guys actually get? I live in near Foley, MN and we didn't see a single flake. Foley pretty close to St. Cloud by the way. Do you have any idea how far north the snow storm hit, because I wouldn't mind trailering it somewhere just to test my FX out, but if I have to go more...
My FX only has the hesitation when it is on cold idle. After the engine is warm and it drops to 1700 rpms, it doesn't do this anymore. Do you have the hard starting issue? Mine turns over for a long time when you first start it, just like some of the other owners are saying. After its warmed up...
