Anyone out there who ran last season with the newest version of the Ice Ripper track with the taller, sharper studs?
I'm curious to know your findings. Were there any issues? Track durability? Stud wear? Handling issues? Anything?
How about some pics of the track with some mileage on them?
Much appreciated.

I think they just became available this fall, but I am not 100%. I don't recall reading anything about them on the camoplast web site last season.

We have a guy from our group, that now lives in North Bay, that put one last season (03 RX1). I've heard that he's spit some tips already. Haven't seen it and unfortunately, he's computer illiterate.

I have the regular ice ripper and it is great for what I use it for--trail riding, no lake racing

I had to replace the track after 1 year. I had trouble posting pictures so PM me your e-mail and I e-mail you the pictures.

I put 900 miles on my Iceripper XT last year and it still looks like brand new. Keep in mind they are only made so far in the 2.86 pitch for the Ski-Doo. You'll need the ski-doo 2.86 pitch drivers. It is a great track for trail riding. Perfect for the icy trails. It is not a drag track for the ice by any means. I'll never run studs again for the trail after using this track. Its 5 MPH faster than a track studded with 144 studs, and has no vibration to it, unlike the studded track. Also no chance of ruining the heat exchangers from a thrown stud. Another benefit is the reduced hyfax sticking problems due to a fully clipped design that really holds snow. I have found way less drag with these clips vs all solid clips of the previous year on a fully clipped track. Here's a link with pictures from last year.

I believe the ice ripperXT is available for all sleds this year. I wish it was last year because I would have bought one instead of the ice ripper

mine came today. I was surprised that it came with the heavy older style clips. I dont understand why they didnt use the clips with all the holes in them. mike, do you think it would be worth any extra speed to change them to the ported style clips? its a 144 cobra style.

BETHEVIPER, what's the model # on the track? Just curious to know if I'll get the same.

9106H is the track. its a 1in so it should roll better, be easier on slides, lugs will last longer, and less wind drag in the tunnel. (MAYBE)
