Does anybody have any experience with adding a dual rate spring to FX. I'm having Yami do the link so with that issue out of the way any tips for dual rate springs for stutter and comfort. I like the Hygear kit but only need front(rear susp) shock setup for now.

The pipe most of you will laugh at... It's a car exhaust. prolly for a Honda. I melted my carbon fiber Two Brothers pipe and I looked at all the pipes offered for the sled now and thought this one was smaller than Super/Utra Q, Hartmans and various others. ...Also it only weighs like 8 pounds...

Well I finally got Yamaha to agree to kit!!! I had to get my dealer more involved and have him push Yamaha. Otherwise Yami wanted me to just sit and wait for backorder parts. So it should be here soon and installed. Thank You all for info. It definitely helped me know what I was talking...

I feel you. I have no upgrades, but still over $7,000 with tax and cover and now a trade in of $4800.00. That is alot to lose so Im gonna just keep it too.

how did you get kit? My dealer and Yamaha told me after an hour and half on the phone that it would be atleast another month before parts are even here!

My FX has been at dealer for two weeks during prime December snow for the link. They just told me it will be atleast a month before they get the parts to send me back out. Not sure what I'm gonna do? Maybe my dealer can just keep it.

I did the same thing with a Two Brothers Carbon!!! So loud it hurt my ears!!! I put a stainless one on now.
