We'll I got to install my kit. I will give it to Yamaha the Kit is a much heavier unit compared to the original. As you can see from the pics. What you can't see in the pics is the steel bushings that were included for the front W arm. These are the parts included.

is this a freebie or did they make you pay for it? mine hasnt broke yet just a matter of time

It was the warranty kit. Provided if you broke your rear link. I put my own in because I didn't want to wait for the dealer anymore. They need it for a week to do what I can do in a night so they let me do it myself.

Do you have any info I can give my dealer to find this kit. I have talked with Yamaha and my dealer but they know nothing of it.

Thanks
Bob

All I can tell you is my dealer got it. Just came in a box and here you go. If The dealer needs to get you one all they have to do is compare it to the 08 rtx skid. All parts are listed. Basically everything but the plastic bushings came with the parts I got and you can just unbolt the two shocks form the linkage undo the front limiter strap and the coil over shock. Then just pull it all out as one piece. Real easy to do. But everything in it is way heavier "built better".

maybe you could post the part #'s indvidually.

Ok, guys, I had my son check out the box (I'm at work with Barnstormer) and he found this number next to the words "Suspension Mod Kit".
The number is
SL096918
Not sure if the first 0 is an o or zero, but it's not the UPS tracking number...LOL.
Be aware, til I get home, someone could have written on the box susp mod kit, and for all I know this could be a Choko Jacket or something..LOL.
I'll keep you posted. The box does have a big Yamaha on it.

PS...we're gonna bash the snot outta his panzy tomorrow on da Tug..hope it's bumpy. My reinforced apex rtx mono should get a workout too.
Made 177 miles last Sat from home through all kinds of garbage with no complaints....crappy mileage..13 at best. Gas is all alcohol these days.

It is a an updated suspension kit. From what I'm told the dealer has to front the money then Yamaha was going to reimburse him for it. All told it was around $600 in parts if I bought them myself and I had to wait a good solid 3 months. I tried to get them to give me the race kit too for making me wait so long but Yamaha wouldn't bite. The number of the kit is as sumpbuster posted earlier in this thread. Also I belive the kit changed the geometery of the suspension just a bit I found myself backing down all the settings after it was installed. But they may have just been me.

Mine rides noticably taller, and the ride is stiffer after the upgraded link as well.......One of the Japanese design engineers looked at my sled when it was at the dealer, and noted that with the limiter strap tightened, the suspension wasn't funtioning as designed. Perhaps he incorperated that fact into the new design.
