I managed to get 2700 miles out of mine. Noticed it starting to ride differently so i checked it out. Both front and rear arms were broke at the welds, and all the bushings hammered out of it. Hard to believe this with so few miles on it and a fresh rebuild on the whole thing this past fall...
Well I have the chance to pick up a 04 pro-x skid for a couple hundred bucks and think i may go this way with it. I hope that wont be a decision i will regret. I actually thought about fixing the original one, until i seen the rear arm had cracks around all the welds. Is this a good skid to put...
well it doesnt sound like this is the setup im looking for then. I ride very aggressively im just tired of workin on this rear skid to keep it goin. Its got 2800 miles and its on the second front arm, numerous idlers but only the second set of hyfax. I seem to remember hearing the apex rtx front...
Well i have the chance to pick up a late model m-10 with six hundred miles on it pretty cheap. And it just so happens to come in time as i broke the front arm and am not real happy with the ride period. Is it worth the time and money to put in and im pretty sure i need to get the right mount...
My nytro did the same....i ended up putting a heavier rivet in the tip of the weight. Mine was actually hitting 9200 from a dead stop and setteling down to 9000.
Thanks again guys. Im goin friday to talk to justin and see what he has to say about it. I guess the only thing I need outta this is to be able to run pump gas and to remain fairly quiet, not just to keep the cops happy around here, but i want it to be a sleeper so i can surprise the unexpected...
Thanks for all the info guys...i actually live not to far from benders and also on of the guys that was head of the turbo stuff. So im gonna talk to them about em too. I like the MC Xpress but the noise is an issue around here so im kinda leaning towards the supercharger at this point.
Thats exactly what got me thinking about it.....I seen that. My first thought was a nitrous kit,but i what something thats gonna be reliable and thats gonna last.
Throwing around the idea of either puttin a super charger or turbo on an 06 nytro. Lookin for the pro's and con's of both and also the reliability of these things for just trail riding. Thanks.
Lookin to go with 144 down the center and was looking for a good pattern to lay em out. Also i got some 8" carbides, are these overkill? I ride very aggresively so i need the sled to handle good.
Lol....thats just one of the three green ones i got, although im slowly converting over. This is my first yamaha sled and so far i really like it. So hopefully it stays together as good as my cats have.
I second that one...I purchased Bruce's nytro test sled with the suspension already done and the 13mm sway bar and feel that it rides alot better than a stock nytro does.
