What do you run for temps most of the time. Did you notice a loss in power when temps got up? Already has a knock sensor so don't know why it then backs timing off when temps get above 185F, that really isn't very hot. Did you run the pc5 and shorter intakes?

Anyone running one of these on their 2011 or newer apex? Reason asking is once the apex gets above 185 water temp it retards timing 6 degrees as a safety precaution. So if you have noticed the apex not performing very well on hot days this is why. 6 degrees timing is probably at least 10hp loss...

An sx 700 with psi pipes is at best 130hp, so no it doesn't have more hp than a viper! Also I had an 2006 apex at 150 hp at best only 15 more if that than the new viper and it definitely would easily do 110mph.

Thinking about getting a 2014 o4 2015 Viper but not impressed with the top end of them. Any of you run against a well set up 700 sx. As I said in my previous post add a bigger rivet to the tip. Get a 270 rifle bullet and put it in the tip...they weigh 6.5 grams!

Why not just add more weight to the stock ramps. Stock has 4.5 gram rivet in it....go to 5.5 grams and see. Why would you get rid of a belt that is just broken in?

The sad part of all this is how much do you really think that the head mod helped....been there and done that with a good running 800....comes down to the simple fact that they are the same hp and 150lbs lighter....they are going to get out on you everytime.

xs belt will drop rpms 300 everywhere over a yamaha belt. Sledfreak, what map are you running I have presently the one that adds 1 on the top and have the 91 octane one ready to load that adds 4 to the top. I've always found mine like 10700 - 10800 the best..seems to freewheel too much running...

time to get rid of the apex and buy a cat...either the 800 or the 1000!
