I put on a muffler off of a street bike and it runs and sounds way better!! Also I cleaned the clutches and put on a new belt and now it just barely bumps the limiter only sometimes!! it holds 9-9100 all the way to the top! Darn slipping clutches!
Primary has 8FS weights a black spring with green, white, green paint marks.
Secondary has a black spring with a pink mark and is in hole 6
thanks again.
Any body have one for an 08 MTX that you would sell me? I am going to cut mine up to use the brackets and if it is to loud for where I ride I may have to go back to stock.
My MTX will bounce off the rev limiter @9250 for the first 20 feet or so then hold 9-9100@ 5000 feet other than that the clutching seems good for now. I want to change the muffler but I know it will only get worse. Can I just add some weight to the primary weights? Please help. Thanks
I had the same problem and the fix is to alighn the skis to 0 (straight) then flip the rubber pads on the skis 180. HUGE difference!! Originally the skis were towed out 1/2 inch like the manual says. Try the above it doesnt cost anything and it works.
I have 200 miles on mine now and it the funest all around sled I have ever ridden. yesterday I rode the new cat, skido and Polaris offerings and I like the Nytro better as did alot of my now converted buddies.
At first it darted all over the trail and I thought I made a mistake.
The fix...
My MTX w/105 miles and 1 gal of 114 added to the balance of 92 bounces of the rev limiter for the first 20 feet @ 3K feet any suggestions? aAlso the primary clutch roller bolts have some slop in them and make quite a rackett and cannot be snuged up. Anyone else notice that?
Just do what I did , Buy it, learn how to ride it, It's taken me 105 miles to really like how it rides cause it requires a diferent style it is alot like a stand up jetski in my opinion then get a set of Simmons Gen2 skis (mine are on order) change the oil and ride the crap out of it and ad hop...
Thanks, I spoke with my friend who has a 1000 Ski do he had the same problem and the wide simmons fixed it. @ $440 I may try a few things then roll the dice. J
Hey fellow sled heads any sure fixes for the trail studder bump darting I am experiencing and have heard alot about? I rode a 08 Phazer yesterday and it tracked straight as an arrow, I believe they are the same skis are they not. Anyone try the Simmons gen 2's ? Thanks Jeff
