"All' they have to do is transfer more weight from the front to mid sled. I ride the 2006 Apex (Atak) which has not changed much. It's either don't mess with a good thing, or change it once you know that change is for the better. I suspect that they will change it for next year.

Sorry to hear. Glad everyone is ok. I flipped my Yamaha Apex at 50 mile break-in due to engine braking and sheet of ice under new snow (two 360 degree spins - made the first, but caught an edge on second). Not sure if the Phazer has engine breaking, but that may have contributed.

I noticed a summary of 'fixes' from one of the moderators. I ride the 2006 Apex (called Atak) and have had to fix a host of things (replaced skis; larger wheels, etc.) Yes - Yamaha should have addressed at least those 2 issues by now. Link to 'fixes'...

Awesome sled. I own one (blue :) ) Careful with 'decelaration'. When you release throttle, it brakes. Hard. I had 50 miles on it, had a huge smile on my face because roads were closed due to glare ice. Going less than 40 mph, new area, on county road. Just missed the trail, let off...

Sounds like the dealer handled it properly (after the snafu by mechanic)

I saw a prototype at show in Ontario. Windshield is huge. Has brackets , etc. due to size. Mirrors are on windshield. Both size of shield (large) and mirrors on windshield are positive develoments, IMO.

Re: Cars In Canada, they have brainwashed us into 5,000 km oild changes (4,ooo miles). Re: Sled I will change filter every time I change the oil. $10 extra, but worried about high Revs and Temp.
