    Black Hills ride

You dont need to change anything. Ive taken my Apex to Togwatee (9000 ft) twice and it ran just fine. Put 500 miles on the last time. Top rpm will be less and if you race one that was clutched for the elevation, he will beat you, but your sled will run good.

Looking at MPI equipped Attack that's 4-Sale WHAT DO I CHECK

I have a good mechanical ability, but know little about superchargers. I want the power, but I also will need trail reliability. It's an 07 that a Yamaha dealer did the install of a stage 1 when it had 1000 miles 2 years ago. It now has 1500. The owner says he's selling because he likes his 09...

    Ice Ripper

I convinced the Iceripper is the best trail track made. It doesn't have as much traction as pure studs but it doesn't tear up your garage or trailer like them either. If you spin it just leaves little scrape lines, not 1/4 inch torn chunks. I can drive on concrete slowly with out damage because...

Need to know what a 06 Apex GT with 8200 miles is worth?

Spin every bearing on the suspension. Listen for exhaust leaks at the manifold. Lift front end and check the play on the a-arms. Make sure the rear shock rebound dial clicks when you rotate it - if not the shock is shot. Check the track for torn lugs inside and out. I've had to do all those...

    heated helmet shield

I would recomend using the wire with the female end that comes with most sheilds (or buy one), and splice it to the wires that go to your 12 volt plug. Then run it up the bars with the cables and zip-tie it on the left side of the bars with about 4 inches of slack. That way when you forget to...

ripsaw or cobra? / zx2 or airwave?

Ansering the question on why I changed to air wave from the GT Ohlins. I owned an 06 Gt and the shock failed twice. Lost it's dampening and needed a complete new shock. I was also worried by the reports of breakage. While it was down I bought another 06 Gt that had this Air wave installed for a...

ripsaw or cobra? / zx2 or airwave?

I'm riding an Airwave in an 06 Apex Gt and I'm very happy with it. The push button air adjustment allows you to set it perfectly to where you use all the travel with out botteming. A great feature if different weight riders use the same sled, or you change the weight by adding gear or a...

Has Yamaha improved the exhaust donuts or clamps?

I've got an 06 apex apart and want to put it together with the best parts available. If there has been changes I would like to know so I dont get old stock. My y-pipes are good. Thanks.

    TEAMFAST AIR WAVE SUSPENSION

http://www.maxsled.com/absolutenm/templ ... 7&zoneid=4 Here's a link to a test sled that I bought from the magazine after they were done with it. I also own the same stock 06 GT so I am able to do same day, same trail comparing. On small to medium bumps the stock Ohlins GT rides just as smooth...
