I have a 06 APEX with a FFP turbo. Used heads shims last year to run on pump gas, went to Yamaha's low compression pistons this year. What is the stock compression supposed to be and what have you found the low compression pistons bring compression down too? After installing new low...
What is the compression on a 2006 stock APEX motor? I have a FPP turbo and last year added head shims to lower compression and run on pump gas. This year installed yamaha's low compression pistons and has dropped compression down to 95 across all cylinders. Does anybody know what stock...
He had trouble getting carbide this year so he is running a little late on orders. I spoke with him last week the only way to get him is to call his cell. He said he has his phone off hook trying to get the orders the orders out that have been placed and really not looking for new orders right...
I was just on there website it looks as though they do have them for concave and dual runner skis as well. Not sure how they do that will have to call a distributor tomorrow.
Great to hear thanks. The APEX is pretty heavy as you know and with jumping it, pretty hard on equipment, the main load bearing points/bars on the M10 had to be replaced with new as they were all bent when I took it off. Hopefully the ZX2 is more robust and can handle the beating.
That was one of the problems with the M10 is if you cranked it up for jumping and heavy moguls you had 0 weight transfer. If you wanted weight transfer you'd have to lighten up the suspesion and you bottom out on the jumps. I hear the ZX2 has seperate settings for weight transfer so you don't...
So how you like the APEX with the ZX2? I just sold my M10 and put a ZX2 on my 06 APEX looking forward to trying it which should be this weekend. We just got dumped on and sounds like getting more on Wednesday.
I agree with most responses, clutching and gearing but studs are killing you, I run 192 @ 250HP and hook up just fine, your over studded for a stocker. All those studs take HP to turn the weight especially at high speeds.
Last year my APEX was layed up for the weekend my dealer borrowed me an 08 Nytro seemed right away like I was riding a football in the corners, everyone in our group took turns and was anxious to get back on there sleds. It takes a couple hours to get used to it and even after not the greatest...
I have an 06 and have always run 192 but turbo'd up, 144 should be fine for stock. I run 1.325 and have torn out 3 sets of pipes but sounds like guys are running longer. Had a fab shop design a metal plate to cover the pipes now seems to be working OK.
