Once the sliders wear down to the line, they seem to even out and you can get considerable life out of them, even when they look like they are about shot.
I have 2900 miles on mine and they just keep on going.

Here is my set up for the XTX, it is not a ditch banging set up, but it does provide a nice ride in many conditions.
Front shocks
>spring in stock setting
>compression 3 turns in from full out. Less dampening reduces ski lift, turns better, sled stays flatter in corners.
>rebound 5 turns...
Guys if you sit on the sled with your hands on the bars you will notice that the air travels under the hand guards and into your fingers.
If you swap hand guards, putting the LH left on the right side and RH right on the left side, the protection is much better to the fingers and the grips...
Be careful not to over do the reinforcement bit as the problem may then go to the next weakest link in the frame design that might render the frame scrap with the next harder wack.
The sub is most likely designed to fail prior to the frame. Maybe it only needs another 10 to 15%, not 400%...
This is not a set up for ditch banging. Just a nice ride with good handling for the XTX.
A few settings to start with......good luck dialing in your ride.
Should work for a 220 pound rider, if the ride is too soft and cushy, turn the dampening adjustments in a click or two. If too hard...
You might have a point on checking accuracy. Anyway I took it out and had it pumped up to 285 PSI.
They guy who did it was apprehensive about going over 210 PSI.
Info trail seems to be coming out of Poineer and Yamaha. Now if it would just stop raining and start snowing again we might be...
Guys, on some (maybe all) XTX sleds the rear XTX shock is factory set to 150 PSI and it should be 285 to 300 PSI.
My skid does not come up to the top when I get off and suspect low pressure. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow to check it out. So far 3 of 4 sleds were set at only 150 PSI. My...
I snow checked the XTX.
Dissapointed that I need to spend extra bucks for a bigger tank, deflectors and windshield. Why not offer these items up front as part of the build? What a waste of $ for a sled that sells for $9500.....
Hope they got the hand warmers sorted out and it dialed in a...
Better take care removing the reflective insulation / protector as the OEM stuff will cost you another $100 if there are 3 seperate sections as the attached link seems to indicate.
Why not get it right the first time?
Wet weight marketing at it again...
Each Ski Doo dealer got at least one e-tec 600 T'nt about 6 weeks ago. My friend bought one and he has at least 400 miles on it. It does infact get 24 to 25 mpg.....
It weighs 400 lbs, has wind protection, great range, handles great and takes the bumps. It is right there with the 02 SRX even...
I would like to get the XTX but concerned with the small gas tank, exhaust limiting storage bag behind the seat and no wind protection.
I rode a 09 Ski Doo T'nt 600 and it got 24 MPG, had wind protection and storage space. It ran exactly the same on top end with my 02 SRX. It just did not...
