Those injectors may be too large for the PCV to compensate, especially during cold start fuel enrichment. I had 750's running ok once it was done with cold start enrichment but with 1050's you may need a standalone ecu to get it to run properly. A PCV can only adjust the fuel trim so much. I...
They do not have level indication, only oil pressure and like KRM said they will let themselves run as long as you want with a 4500rpm limit. My buddies 1200 shattered the oil pump gear 4 years ago in -45c weather and he drove it for approx. 15-20 minutes like that. I helped him change the gear...
My stock Doo 850 went 106.3mph, not even in the same zip code as a sidewinder. My polaris 850 runs right around the same as the doo so would be similar speeds from that
The Apex's didn't have the harmonics issue that the 3 cylinders have. That's the only reason the Sidewinder clutches are having issues. As you turn the power up the harmonics get worse. On my Viper race sled after making a pass at 500hp I could unthread the clutch bolt by hand, and that was...
Never had that problem with my sidewinders but my Polaris 850 is doing the same thing (it uses the same Hayes brake system) just installed a new rotor, hoping the old one was warped
Front mounts are slotted but the rears are not so not really movable but you could get a couple mm either direction.I dont think you would evre be able to get it to 268mm without doing some work to the rear mounts. Also from past experience typically if your centre to centre is short it is...
Dan, between my LTX and my RTX I have over 4000km's on the Hurricane 280R tune and have not blown one belt, so its definitely possible. That includes a lot of snow drags and radar running.
I’ve owned both and prefer the rtx. I didn’t like the lack of transfer with the LTX. Equally setup in most conditions the RTX will beat the LTX in a drag race. Didn’t really see a difference in top end, mostly comes down to setup.
Haven’t checked for the sidewinder but you can buy just the white fitting that comes with the black plastic piece for the viper, it’s the same thing and not very expensive.
The 2602-365 is for CAT silent chain, not the hyvo. The correct cat part number for 84p 15w hyvo chain is 2602-838. Thats why you were getting a ratcheting noise in the chain case and the chain eventually let go.
I had the same problem yesterday on rock hard trails. Installed scratchers and it fixed the problem but it is annoying that the scratchers are needed. Hopefully someone comes out with a small rad kit. First sled I have ever needed scratchers on.
