03 piped Viper vs. 05 RX-1

My brother just piped, clutched, and jetted his 03 Viper. I have a 05 RX-1 with 124 Miles on it, will I even have a chance when we line them up in 2 weeks?

Your RX-1 if they both have the same track on will run away from the piped Viper. Especially if you have a good clutch kit in the RX-1.

How you figure that? Viper "should" have about 8 - 10 additional hp AND be maybe 25 - 30 lbs. lighter. So how does that equate to advantage RX-1 ?

Inquiring minds want to know.............

On piped Vipers the most I've ever seen is 145 hp. That's about 5 hp more than the RX-1. The piped Viper and RX-1 engine make two different "kinds" of horsepower. I didn't believe it either till I saw it and the RX-1 will run with and ahead of pretty much any piped Viper. Especially with ECP filters and some good clutching as well.

Back in 03 when the rx first came out i talked to a dealer who was riding a new 03 rx-1 and his buddy had a piped, clutched and jetted viper..

He said the stock rx-1 would walk all over him..

The rx has that sneeky, hard to believe power..

Its funny how much more power some sleds have and how lighter they are and still the rx can win against them.

Hi new to the form but I have a piped, reeded ,clutched,roller, geared, ripsaw studed viper and a 05 rx1 still stock but not for long and the viper will take the rx1 buy 3or 4 sled out of the whole and stay that way. I do think when the rx1 gets broke in a little better it will have alittle longer legs but then again I don't like to hold the two stroke wide open for two long.

My brother and I both had CPR piped and clutched VIPERS. Believe me with a CPR set up the VIPERS are fast. after I add a CPR air and clutch kits to my new RX-1, I will be happy just to stay with my brothers sled. I dont see how I could be faster with a stock RX-1. But I hope it will be close...
