I have an '03 with 9,000 miles on it and my extended warranty is going to expire in September. My clutch/gear reduction is somewhat noisy. I was wondering if there is any updates to correct this or has anyone had their's warranteed?
Thanks.
Thanks.

My dealer said they could install a slider kit out of a
04-05 RS series clutch and it would quiet it. I haven't had a chance it change it . Going to wait till the snow melts. Because it not hurting anything You might want to try that.

If you've got some miles on the sled (like 9,000), the o-ring slider kit can be installed. If you don't, it may be too tight in the clutch and bind.
In any case, I had my '03 done and it does reduce some noise, but most of that noise is from the gear reduction, and there's no cure.
Get the idle up around 1500 and it'll go away, except for initial start up (when the rev's are a little lower).

Oh yeah; one of the most effective cures is synchronizing the carbs............honest!

They all do it. Just bring your idle up a bit as mentioned and it will be gone. I think I run mine at just above the 1500 RPM mentioned.
