I have an 03 rx-1, that we just put the turbo on. I took it out and ran it on sat, and in the valley (4600 ft) It ran and pulled hard, other than a stutter on top end, which I presume was over taching since the tach slammed up around 11000 rpm. I changed weight to the heaviest that I had, which was still on the light side, which were 57.5, and I am thinking that I need to be around a 62-64 gram weight. I am running a polaris primary, and a team secondary. I have an almond spring in the drive clutch and can't remember the secondary set up. I am running a 19 tooth top and a 42 tooth bottom. I ride at 6-9000 ft and am running a bender stage 1 with the updated oil system, no intercooler, and around 13lbs. I have the 162x15 camo, with the expert x suspension.
When I got up to our riding area, I could hardly get it to run, lots of sputtering and feather the throttle, then it would hit turbo and take off, but if I backed off, then it would sputter again. I did notice that the first time that I got off in the powder, it covered my outer wear onthe air cleaner, and almost all of the sputter went away, so I am thinking that IO am very rich in my charge tube jet. I think it is around a 680, and am thinking of going to a 3 or 400. I know that I need to block off the bottom of the tunnel, so the track doesn't cover my air cleaner. Any help with the clutching and ideas would be greatly appreciated. One more thing, what fuel mix should I use. 50/50? 50% 91 oct, and 50% av (100oct)?
I used to think it best to figure it out on my own, but I have spent alot of time on here reading different posts, and am amazed at the onslaught of knowledge, and willingness to help that fellow sledders have to help someone in need. Thanks in advance. Oh, one more thing, should I stay with the polaris primary, or go back to the yamaha?

Is this a home made kit, or a name brand? Where is the support from the manufacturer?

This is the bender stage I rear mount turbo. I called bender, to have them fax me some info, since I bought it used, but they said that it wouldn't come through the fax. They had told me to go to there site to the instructional section for turbo, and I couldn't find anything even on the turbo.
Thanks.......Steve
Thanks.......Steve

The sputtering sounds like the carb T's leaking to me I had the same problem as everyone else. correct me if I'am wrong dos'nt bender glue thier T's on? Did you? If you did go to mountain perfomance as they have machined aluminum carb T's with O rings that will solve the problem permanetly they are worth the money! I have mc-x rear mount on an 03 run 9 and 11 pounds boost
