Need some help here guys. Had my sled apart for some updates and just put back together and its not running right.
First here is what I did.
Airbox mod, holtzman springs, 165 mains, and bigger pilots, apex bars and riser and I used the stock choke and throttle cable, and wired in Yamaheater.
Here is what its doing.
first, it took forever to start, like 3 min of constant cranking. When it started, it idled pretty high, so turned the choke off and it did not seem to make any difference, I turned the idle screw down and that too had no impact. It sound like it has a slight miss, not a real clean running sound. If I hit the throttle it barks kind of like the TORS is kicking in. It won't rev which is leading me to believe it is the TORS.
My thought is that maybe the stock throttle cable is too short with the apex riser. Though it seems good when I put it on and adjusted, maybe its not. I have a little slack in the cable before the slides move but the adjuster is all the way in so I can't give it any more slack. I am outta room.
What do you think. Sound like a TORS issue, or am I missing something?
One last thing. The main jets I got were similar but slightly different than the stock ones. The stock has the small hex mains, the ones I got were the larger head round ones. Same thread and not bigger than the main jet tube. I've done this before with no issues but thought I would check with the knowledge of fellow Ty-ers.
Help!
Thanks guys

I was told 170 mains and 20 pilots on an air box mod but I guess it depends on how big the holes are second its going to take a little bit to start because carbs are empty third sounds like throttle cable is to short they say any thing over two inch rise you need longer cables from mountain sled try to turn skis if idle changes its the cable is to short or ain't routed right if its the shortest path possible you need longer cable I'm not sure about the shape of jet if that makes a difference but it sounds like if you get longer cable you should be alright hope this helps

Thanks. I knew it would take a bit to get fuel pumping thru the beast again after having carbs apart, just seemed like forever. Good idea on turning the bars. I am pretty sure thats the issue. Hope so. Don't feel like taking apart again.

Fixed. It was TORS. Thanks

next time you pull the carbs refill them with a funnel through the fuel lines below the fuel pumps. it will fire right up.
