03 RX1 BOSS SEAT OR APEX?

HELLO GUYS IM GOING TO ADD A 3 INCH RISE ON THE BARS AND WANT TO CHANGE THE SEAT!!! SO THE QUESTION IS APEX SEAT OR BOSS!
THOUGHTS PROS AND CONS?

I LIKE TO TRAIL RIDE HARD MOSTLY, DO WANDER OFF TRAIL AND PLAY IN BUT NOT AS MUCH AS MILES ON THE TRAIL!

im not for surre but i had a rx1 and i didnt think the apex seat fit but i had a 03 so i could only put the updated rx1 seat on.... but im not certain...

YES the Apex seat will fit and you can buy one from a member here for half the price of a new one. I have done the upgrade on my sled and might have to change the throttle cable to a 2005 RX Mountian.

I have also done the Apex seat to my 03 rx1 with a 4 inch hadlebar riser, its a very easy bolt on job and is 10 time better then stock. i never tried the boss seat but i have sat on an rx1 with a boss seat and did not like it all was kinda of uncomfortable and just felt awkward!

The apex seat is probably cheaper, you get a trunk, factory look and you need to modify the gas tank cowl by cutting it. This is thebest mod I ever did. The Boss does the same thing but with no cutting and its about 6lbs vs 16 stock apex.

back in august i had ordered and payed for a new boss seat for my rx1.. couple of weeks ago i emailed to see when delivery would be made. hey told me that they decied not to manufacture rx1 and apex seats this year. i was then given a refund after i asked them if they had any retailers that might have a left over from last year or something. to make a long story short, I just recieved an apex stock seat from a ty member for 300 shipped.the only way to get a boss seat this year is to get lucky and find a used one for sale

Take a look at the Mountain Mod seats, i think they are the nicer of the aftermarket seats avalible.

THANKS GUYS ALL GOOD INFO, I WAS LOOKING AT A BOSS SEAT AND IT DID LOOK A LITTLE UNCONFORTALBE TO ME BUT WITH THE GUYS ON THIS FORURM THE ADVICE IS ALWAYS GOOD.

Just do the Apex seat if you shop around you can find them for under $200 and it takes about 2 hrs for everything.
