I JUST RECENTLY BOUGHT AN 03 RX1 AND I CAN NOT FIGURE OUT MY IDLE PROBLEM. IT IDLES REALLY LOW LIKE 900 AND WHEN I TRY TO ADJUST IT, WHEN I BLIP THE THROTTLE IT RACES UP TO 2000. WHEN I TURN THE IDLE SCREW BACK DOWN AND BLIP THE THROTTLE AGAIN IT THEN GOES BACK TO 900. I CAN NOT GET IT TO IDLE AT 1350. AND IT MISSES. I HAVE CHANGED THE PLUGS AND CLEANED ALL THE CARBS AND THE JETS. I TRIED TO SYNC THE CARBS BUT IT IS HARD TO DO WHEN IT WONT IDLE RIGHT. ANYONE ELSE EVER EXPERIENCE ANYTHING LIKE THIS? I AM STUMPED.

Mine did the exact same thing, but it was turbo related. A leaking vent line to the float bowels.
I would check the float bowel vent lines to make sure one is not pinched. Also, did you check the fuel screws.
Mine acted like a piped 2 stroke that would get in a lean spot on the needles. If the fuel screws are less than 2 turns off seat, I would try and turn them out to 2 turns.

Don't adjust and THEN blip, keep blipping AS you adjust it. If that doesn't work, its probably something really stupid, like ice in your TORS switch.

Try moving the throtle cable around slowly while it is idling..Does it idle faster? I had to find a position that the cable didn't move around, watch the motor jump when you hit the flipper....
