OK FELLAS, WHEN I FIRST START MY RX1 WHEN COLD THE HIGH IDLE DOES NOT WORK AND WHEN I TRY TO ADJUST THE IDLE TO 1500 AND THEN BLIP THE THROTTLE IT THEN GOES TO 2300 AND STAYS THERE. THEN WHEN I TRY TO IDLE IT BACK DOWN IT THEN GOES DOWN TO 900 AND STALLS. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO HAPPY MEDIUM ON THIS IDLE. I LOOKED IN THE SHOP MANUAL AND IT SAYS THAT THE COLD START HIGH IDLE IS CONTROLLED BY THE CDI BOX AND TP SENSOR. COULD IETHER ONE OF THESE BE THE PROBLEM? HAVE ANY OF YOU HAD THIS HAPPEN? OR WAS THIS A PROBLEM ON THE 03 SLEDS. I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING THIS THING FOR AWILE NOW AND I AM VERY FRUSTRATED. CARBS HAVE BEEN CLEANED 3 TIMES NOW. SO I THINK IT IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. HELP PLEASE. THANKS SCOTT

Did you synchronize the carbs? Also you stated that you cleaned the carbs 3 times. But did you actually pull out the pilot jets and run a fine wire through them and hold them up to a light and look thru them?
Mine did the same thing and I had a clogged pilot jet.

If you have ruled out sync, and clogged pilots, I would check the TPS next. Fresh fuel and plugs too before suspecting the CDI.

WELL I FIGURED OUT MY PROBLEM AND IT WAS INDEED THE TP SENSOR. SWOPPED OUT MY BUDDIES LAST NIGHT AND I NOW CAN SET THE IDLE. FINALLY.
