03 rx1 WHATS IT WORTH?

The gear reduction on this sled is noisey, usually only till it warms up a bit. Wait till its -25f and you fire it up it sounds like a bucket of marbles.
10500 MILES ON MINE NO ISSUES LOVE THE SLED.

When i put a new belt on mine it will squeal at idle, is that maybe what you are hearing. Clutch rebuilds are fairly cheap, but at 2500 miles that sled is just hardly broke in, should not have 0 issues. is it all stock?

Clutch noise

JDP, Clutch noise isnormal for the RX1. Raise Idle up to 1800 and mine seems a little less obnockshus. Once you get moving it goes away at your normal running RPM's. Do a search because lots of guys have posted info on the clutch rattle. I would clean it and check the rollers just the same as your viper. There is a upgrade that also helps ( Bushing) I think. anyway plenty of info on here about it. Good luck!

Same noise when I bought mine with 2000 miles on it and neither of us knew what it was so I used it to get the price down a little bit. Later I found out that it is normal cluth noise for this machine at low rpm. There are shim kits available but reviews are mixed as to whether they are worth the money and effort. Once the dealer tuned it up and raised the idle to 1800 rpm it was much better. I'm told that the jack shaft bearings go early but mine are still good.

Yep my 04 warrior made the same noise and it drove me crazy, raised the idle and it is perfect
