So im fixing a friends 03rx1. I have went throught the carbs 3and times and it still runs the same. Low idle, smells gassy, i cant get a good tead on the plugs because he put nee one in before he brought it down so there is no color on them. If you have a bad coil will you get a check engine light? Is there a easy way to test them?
03 are known to have a wire rub through under the toolbox at the front of the sled against the frame. If you can get it to run look at the coils at night to see the arcing. You could test the coils and the plugs with another rx1. The flashing orange light that first comes on when its started is not a check engine light its telling you its not hot enough to run yet. The engine oil is not low is it if its too low this sled will not start.
