04 RX1 Clicks and wont start

This is driving me crazy!! I tried to start my 04 RX1, I smelled wires burning. When I opened the bonnet, the small ground wire going to the battery had no coating left on it. I have replaced it with new full wiring harness and starter relay. When I turn the key now, the small ground wire gets very warm. The sled attempts to turn over, then just one click. Has anyone had this problem before?[/u]

If I remember correctly I think these had some starter issues. Sticking.
