Hello i have a stock 04 Rx1 Mountain sled with a little over 1000 km on it and i have been reading/asking ppl what theyre mtn sleds are getting and lots are saying around the 100 mile mark easy when im struggling for 100 KM!!, theres no mods to anything , it was taken to a smaller sled mechanic shop for carb cleaning and setting before i bought it about 20 ish days ago, only thing i could think of is maybe he didnt clean or set them right, thinkin maybe perhaps i should do something with the clutching.as i will be mainly flatlanding the machine and notice ppl clutch them for that( dont really know much bout clutching)
only real thing i can think of is as it came from wyoming the owner that brought it over changed the jets for our elevation(wich is about 1893 ish) i dont know if it would make that drastic of a difference.( also still tryin to get a hold of him to see what jets he all put in)

Did you ever find the resolution to this problem?

Hey I can help you out with making your sled a flatlander as thats what I have done with my 04 mountain. There must be something up with your gas mileage I can get 100 miles out of mine fairly easy. How is it running and did you pull a plug and see what it looks like?

If the last owner didn't change the clutching for your lower elevation you will be running a much higher rpm while cruising and this will cause poor fuel mileage.
