How long of stud can I install with out damage to the sled? Also how many should I have for good all around performance? They said the 05 RX-1 has much better weight transfer then the old skid. I would think that will help a little. On my CPR piped VIPER I had 192 1.175 but they did scratch the rear heat exchanger a little. THANKS...Gary.

How far past the lugs would the 1.325 get me? I would like to get to 3/8 if I could...
Does any one on this site know the longest studs that I can put on my 05 RX-1 with out damege to the sled? thanks...

I wouldn't go more than .25" ovet the lugs, just to be safe. The first thing you will hit is both sides of the bulkhead above the heat exchanger. Then if you want you can take out your exhaust next. You may be ok with 3/8" but maybe not.
Well I could go 5/16 and split the difference. I havent got a big response to this post, If I have to go 1/4 over then thats what I will do. Thanks...

I have 192 1.4's in my Warrior with no problems. Just remember that all studs are not measured the same from manufacturer to manufacturer.
You will want to be 1/4 to probably no more than 3/8 above the lugs to be safe.
And you will need to keep your track tension tight to keep the track from ballooning up on you when you deccelerate !!
Enjoy your new ride !!

I was told the 1.325 will just get 1/8 over the lugs. To me thats not going to get the job done. The next size up is 1.375. "Rmudmaster" Is that close to your 1.4?. Is there anyone out ther with 1.375 on your rip saw track 4- stroke?...

Snow, sorry this reply is late, but I haven't been able to get on this site for a couple of days.
Yes, 1.375 is what my 1.4's measure. Hook-up is awesome !! They will get the job done. Just keep your track tight !!
Check out this site.... www.Korky's.com for Redtip Power Studs . You might find something else on this site worth looking at also.

Call Woody's, they recommend 1.325's max. They have experienced much track ballooning because of the flimsy nature of this track.
