Folks, bought a used 05 vector last year, road it a few times and stored in garage. started up in summer and it took a long time to start. Just pulled it out yesterday and had same problem, Actually caused battery to wear down and had to jump it. Tried everything (Choke on, off, open throttle). Then, out of no where , it started up. Any ideas? Thanks!

Bowls went dry? You can try blowing into the vent tube after a long storage to pressurize the tank and force fuel to the carbs. The vent line is located near the secondary and attaches to the frame. Just remove it and pressurize it while cranking.

Yalls can pop the lid on the airbox squeez the flipper n squirt some fuel in the carbs similar ta start'n a top fueler... On the plus side once you get it going their usually good for the season...

Thanks! started right up today, sound like it was dry

Appreciate the responses.....

I also agree takes along time to fill those 3 float bowls I would run down to your local Napa and get a can of sea foam and pour into your fuel tank it will help with varnish and water in the fuel system and its components

i would check the spark plugs. They foul out very easily if the engine does come up to full temp. I have to put in a new set at the start of every winter

I notice the same thing on my 05 venture. Now I just automatically pop a line off the fuel pump & fill the bowls w/ a small funnel if it has sat for more than a month. I also necked down the carb breather lines w/ 1/4" OD tubing to cut down on the evaporation rate in the bowls. Not sure why my 06 doesn't seem to have this issue?
