I've had a recent issue on my '05 Vector, barely ridden 30 miles, the warning light comes on looks like a triangle, no other message or code is given, and the motor wants to stall or cut off momentarily. Then it will run fine for a few minutes and repeat.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

warn lite
sounds like your self diagnose system lite..should be a code by the speedo also, check all wire connections, or its dealer time.norm

Yes, you should be getting a code (number) on your speedo read out.

got the code
similar occurance yesterday but I got the code 84 which I read as the throttle overide sys. Any ideas as to why this would kick in. Seems to run fine and then show this code momentarily and then fine for awhile. Could it be a carburetor issue, maybe gunked up or???

Re: got the code
Check your throttle cable for proper free play and make sure it isn't binding.

A 10 mm wrench from your toolkit and tighten the throttle cable

Sounds Like a T.O.R.S. issue rearing its ugly head perhaps?

Seems most 05s had that issue.
Like said above... adjust the cable or just disconnect the TORS. I did.

I have had that problem with my 07 RS Venture and my uncle has had the same issue with his 07 Venture Lite ..Give the throttle a couple good smacks ( with the machine off ) could be ice build up or your cable is bent a bit...

it is the T.O.R.S. system ackting up. there are two options you have to correct this probleme.
1 - loop out the T.O.R.S., there are two wire's that come off the throttle, one ithink is a black wire, the other is a red one, all you have to do is plug one into the other( one wire will be a male plug the other a female plug)..
2 - take your sled to the dealer and have them see if your vin number has had the new ( ECU ) installed.

I simply bypassed my over ride system. Simple, free, and won't happen again.
The system if over kill IMO.
