It looks like my stator is bad on my sled. I tried to do a search and no luck.
Has anyone had to do this? Can it be done w/o pulling the engine? I have it at the dealer right now, they put a new regulator on it and it did not do the trick, so looks like a stator. They tell me my is the first one that they have had to replace.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Pretty sure from what i read on here that you don,t need to pull the motor, just remove the oil tank to gain access.

Thanks, that makes me feel better.
I have a stator off a vector forsale if your intrested. When I stripped my sled I think you can just change it in place.

Well, I do appreciate it. But as luck would have it, I took it to the dealer and they have one coming for it. I usually do all my own work, but have not had time lately. Between getting the kids sled ready for sno cross, actually riding, and the for letter word "work" and a big snowmobile vacation coming up. (it's the wife's ride)
I am so glad to hear it came out w/o pulling the motor.
Thanks for all the help folks.

I had one replaced in my Venture,3500 miles around $400 parts and labor. Dealer called Yami rep and not enough reported to get a break on the repair.
