After all the rumors going on out here about the lack of greese fittings on the 05 skid I decided since i had almost 1800 miles on it was time to check things out so my dealer ripped the skid out for me and installed new bushings and greese fittings. However other than the greese being pretty much gone things looked very good compared to what i had been hearing. Maybe I'm just lucky but thought i'd share what we found it was'nt near as bad as i had been led to believe at least in my case anyway

Those don't look like mine did...
Mine were basically flat washers (from the end of the bushing) and a bunch of plastic filings....
You say he installed grease fittings? Please give us more details.

I'll put it on the sled lift this weekend when i get it back to the cabin and try to get a few pics. I'm assuming he put them in the same place as the 06 skid had them at the show just picked it up tonight so hav'nt had a good look myself yet. It's not something new i think a number of guys have done this already
Sounds like you weren't as lucky only thing i can think of is riding conditions (I've had it pretty good this year til now) ReX

The w-arm broke at one of the bushing mounts a week or so later. I think pretty much everything to do with the w-arm was changed then.
I'm about 211 lbs + gear + saddle bags + trunk bag - probably around 270 lbs fully loaded to cruise.
We also cruise at a pretty good pace - so if you get passed by a few sledders, pounding the moguls, fully loaded with saddle bags - it might be us...
