I've got a line on an 06 Apex and I'm thinking of trading in my 05 Warrior to make the move. The Apex has really low miles (1,500), while my Warrior has 6,000 miles. The move will cost me around $2,000 - is it worth the $$$? Is there that much difference between the generations?

I have an 05 Warrior and my buddy has an 06 Attak. Both have 136" tracks, thats where the similarity ends. 06 has the mono skid, higher stock riser, better stand up rider position, fuel injection, modern look. To get a Warrior 'up to' Apex specs you's spend a lot more than 2k. Apex is a 121" if that makes any difference. I found the 136 to give a much better trail ride as far as comfort goes.

I would do it. I recently did alot of upgrades to my sled, but really yearn for a fuely, not that i'm unhappy with my performance, but a injected motor always runs crisper.

I just road my buddies new '06 and the seating position is really nice compared to the sunk in the lazy-boy feeling of my '04 warrior . If there is a seat replacement and handle bar risers that give a similar riding position?

I would love to go to a newer sled but I have my 05 running so damn good right now and I am smoking all my Cat buddies (8 & 900's) and have been for 3 seasons...
I fear I will not be able to tune the EFI as well as the carbs. But I have not really been following what is going on with tuning on the EFI models. I do like the idea of having the EFI but even my one cat buddy who is a damn good wrench seems to think I will never get the EFI to run as good as my 05. Even he admits that my sled is a friggin rocket. And thats a lot for him to actually admit that. He has even kicked around getting one...and were talking about a DIE HARD Cat guy here.
What everyone elses opinions?
For 2K and knowing I could jump into the new style riding I think I would do it even if I had to sacrifice a little performance.

i did the apex mod to my warrior! apex seat, bought used for $300.... 3.5" risers from richierich and a longer brake line and throttle cable off of an '05 rx mountain put me up higher and much more comfortable for me! cost about $500 total or so. well worth the cash! i was in the same boat, didn't want to drop big bucks on a new sled when this one was fine!

I had two 04 Rx-warriors.. One of which my brother now ownes..
I currently ride a 06 apex gt.. with 5500 miles..
Its a NO BRAINER... get the apex.. softer seat, smoother ride, better handling and alot lighter.. not to mention no more choke

Thanks for the input - I still haven't put a deal together yet. My first offer to the dealer a few weeks ago failed, but with the lack of snow around here, I'm hoping that he'll reconsider over the next few days. Whats the speed difference like - I've seen 127 mph on my Warrior's dream-meter.
