Hey everyone, looking at buying a used Apex and was wondering if someone could tell me if there is any difference between an 09 and an 06 Apex? Both have around 5000 Miles on them. Thanks in advance.

Get the 09, it has many small updates that will give the sled longer life over all.

Was EFI and reverse an option in 2006? Or am I thinking RX1 days?

RX1 was carb, 2006 - 2009 was EFI but it was the 1st generation of the Apex.

The 09 has:
Better handwarmer system with built in handle bar hooks
Reinforced W-arm
There maybe a few more small tweaks but these two alone would be enough to push me to the 09

As said the 2009 has many small updates that added up every model year.
SS exhaust headers less likely to crack
Heated hooks on handle bars
Stronger suspension arms less prone to cracking
Updated stronger chaincase to avoid adjuster failure
Added exhaust support bracket to help prevent exhaust cracking
Updated stator
I have done all of these upgrades to my Attak...that's how I know
There are probably more but that's all I remember at the moment
