My 06 Attak starts easily with a boost, but dies as soon as the leads are removed. An overnight trickle charge had zero effect. Merely turning the key registers silence. Locals are baffled.

Battery probably toast. Won't hold a charge long enough to run sled. Seen it in my 04 warrior and 2 of my bikes.

Umm. Let me be the odd ball. I say the connection is bad. Seems strange to me that a battery would be bad that soon. Clean the battery connections and run the sled, then if it doesn't hold a charge, then perhaps tha battery is bad. Just seems weird to me that a battery is bad just after 2 years? I ran my 06 for almost 2 years with extra stuff added and no issues. Clean the terminals just like with your truck. Just try it for craps and giggles...

This depends on how the sled was preped when new. If the battery is filled and not properly charged they won't last long. My '05 RX-1 didn't even make the first season without trouble. New battery filled and charged per recommendations still going strong, and cranks over better then the original one ever did.
