What are your thoughts on this:

I just picked up new slides for my 06 Nytro and found that they were about 2~3 shorter than the rails. The old slides had been installed by the dealer last year and had been cut from longer slides the same length as the rails. Even though these old slides are longer than stock, they are wore right to the very end meaning that the whole slide was being utilized.

I remember reading posts about excessive hyfax wear right in front of the rear wheels, a problem that I haven't had so I had to wonder if the longer hyfax isn't, at least a partial fix to this problem so I returned the shorter slides and bought longer ones and cut them to the length of the rails. (Of course I beveled the ends).....

Thoughts??

I'm surprised that the hyfax was shorter than the rails. I have a stretched Nytro and I still have to cut some off the standard length hyfax ... which is the part number for the short-track Nytro.

Had that happen to me as well. Bought new slides and they were too short. Took them back and had to cut the new set since they were too long.
