OK I have a 06 RTX and plain out love it.!!!!
Now with the new skid in the 07 should I move up?
I dont ditch bang anymore in fact I prefer to go straight and fast.
We do loops of 180-250 miles a day now.
Since I dumped my 04 Rev I seem to be able to ride longer.
I have back problems and cant endure the big jarring anymore on the back.
I hear the 07 skid is rougher riding yes no?, any input from Nytro riders?
I found the Mono skid rides way better than my SC10-3 in the rev or it could be just the rev itself.
Its not like I ddint give the Rev a chance I had 2 of them a 03 800 X and a 04 800 HO XPS for 2 years on the 04. What a POS.!!!
I do like to ride hard dont think I ride like a wus, just after a while I like to kick back sit down and cruise along at say 110. lolGotta love lakes and railway lines.
Thanks for any help.
Ps I dont really like the Yellow on the RTX , so it could come off and get powdercoated either way.

Even though I am not a firm believer in the Mono, most suspensions, like the Expert X, designed for the big bumps give up a smoothe ride over the stutter bumps. They seem to be designing the the RTX as a Cross Country machine as it is too heavy still to be s ditch banger. You ride very similar to me and even the same trails, between the two I think the MONO is the better way to go if the reliability is finally there plus the potential adjustments when riding are really nice to have when you go from table top to washouts.

Unless you are banging ditches or doing lots of jumping I don't see why a switch to the 07 suspension would be of benifit. The mono is a smoother and plusher riding skid for the trail rider. Plus the 06 looks HOT!

I got to ride the 07...it ate up everything i could drive over. Torsion spring with adjustable cams...unless you have a problem bottoming out, want to go ditch banging or want to look for and ride over as many moguls or whoops as you can find stay with the 06

Mono is plusher from everyone I talked to and I also think the 06 is better looking.
My neighbor (old cat guy) came over last night and saw my RTX for the first time and wouldn't shut up about how cool looking it was. He said this; "I can say this now cuz you don't have it anymore, but that blue sled you had did nothing for me, but this one is sweet".

I think the mono is a better skid than the torsion spring.
In response the the above post mentioning the expert X I can also add that after owning an expert X I can say with 100% certainty that it IS NOT a big bump skid, it rides plusher than the mono in the stutters but bottoms and kicks like a bronco with his balls on fire in the rough stuff. I found it a dissapointment for the money, even after numerous valving changes which did help. \
If youre a big whoop rider I think the 07 torsion spring skid might serve you well but Id have to say IMO in most applications the Mono is far superior, and I think the 06 looks hotter too.

I like the looks of the 2006, but I think the suspension is better on the 2007's

I am struggling with the very same choice. In fact if I went '07, I might just go with the GT. I think I want the Mono, and I hate the colors of the '07 RTX , so there are 2 reasons for me to go '06 RTX.
Let me ask this? Is there a warranty difference if I bought a left over '06 or a new '07? I see in the mags a 1 yr warranty + 2yrs YPP extended warranty on the '07. What the hell does that mean?
