06 RTX rear heat exchanger

I read alot about installing the rear heat exchangers. I rode all weekend on very little snow with my 06 rtx and never had an overheating problems. Is this a common problem on all newer yamaha sleds? or just certain models?

It is a known problem with the four stroke Yamaha's if they are ridden in low snow conditions. Yamaha has added rear heat exchangers on the '09's to fix this problem.
