- Ripped my Snow Flap off yesterday (06 RTX) and need to replace it.
- I hear that the 07 one is better?
- Any truth to the rumour?
- All help is greatly appreciated!
- Thanks!

- Understood robertbubba2.
- This happened backin' it off the trailer.
- Just not paying attention.
- Someone, somewhere said that the 07 flaps were a little tougher.
- If so, and it's the same mounting, I'll get an 07 one.

07 flap is tougher... and it doesnt bend back as easily, if it is angled up a bit.

The 07 flap is hard plastic, not soft rubber. The 07 is a little longer, and you are bound to have the same problem. You can fix it by cutting about an inch off the bottom, just follow the line. Have not had a prob since doing this.

i have, well had.. an 07 flap on my 06. While flying through a field in heavy wet snow today on the trail, my g/f came flying up behind me holding my flap up.. somehow it ripped right out.. so looks like I'll be modding as well.
I shredded my 07 flap on my 06 Attak today in heavy snow. At least the 07 lasted more than one season unlike the 06. I don't think it's the material so much as the mega flimsy mount they are riveted to. Folded up piece of tin foil bends less than that stock flap mount.

Just cut off bottom 2 or 3 inches of flap along crease, right at the bottom of your straps in the above picture. I used a normal pair of scissors 10 seconds and your done.quebec#1 said:try this with some safety straps it works !

- Simple as that eh?
- I put the new one last night and it definetly looks better!
- I tore mine off backing down my trailer...would cutting that 2-3 inches off alleviate that?
- I was just going to start keeping my head out of my #*$&@ while backing up!

My dad has the 06 apex, and he had the 06 flap, it was always lose and flying back and forth! So we switched it out and put the 07 flap on and never go near the track, or ground when backing off the trailor! Worked great and havent had any complaints yet
