I would like to remind everyone of something that was posted on an earlier thread and is still available (I know because I just bought a sled from them). 'Troy City Garage' in Troy, NY has the Apex GT listed online for $9109 + $165 for freight and setup with no tax charged if you live out of state. The Apex ER is listed for $8329 + the $165 also. I was not able to find anyone that could beat that pricing. Follow this link to the pricing page and scroll down to the bottom for 06 Yami prices. www.troycitygarage.com/snowmobiles.htm

zoom zoom, how do you get away without paying sales tax when you bring it back to your state? In Michigan you pay the the slaes tax once you register it.

Yes, When you go to register it you pay the sales tax in your home state. But if you live in NH then you dont have to pay any Sales Tax. Also, If you live in MA, then normally you would have to pay 5% sales tzx. But, Since riding in Ma sucks, you can just register in NH.

Well I was there. Rode an APEX ER and an ATTAK. Brought a Ski-Doo die-hard with me and we were both overly impressed. I just want to "ditto" what everybody else has said about their experience. A couple things i would like to add that I think is overlooked is how much more power it feels these sleds have compared to the '05's. It accelerates what I feel was tremendously quicker then the '05. The other thing is how much lighter it felt compared to the '05 RX-1. Felt lighter then my viper actually over some of the huge bumps and holes (and I mean HUGE).
Unbelievable sleds guys. Alot of guys with green and yellow jackets that were coming back with huge grins on their face. I always like to ride a sled before I purchase it and this one blew me away.

What was everyones opinions on the ride and handeling difference between the Apex and Attak? Is the Attaks ride that much better for the extra cost and weight? I won't get a chance to ride them. I'm leaning toward the Apex ER right now.

i rode both and the apex does handle better than the attack . the attack has a little push in the corners. snow was loose and wet so tracktion was no problem with either. you can set or stand with no problem

Dealing Troy Garage

Just found this message board and it is great, I am making the change from Cat to Yamaha, I am so pumped I can't wait.
This is the first time dealing with Troy, all conversations have been over the phone to snow check a Vector GT, I just mailed the papaerwork and a check a few days ago. Did you snow check your sled in person or through mail? What did they give you for paperwork to guarentee you the sled and the price they quote. Call me paranoid but I have not dealt with them before I just don't want November to come and have them change the whole deal and start charging all these other hidden fees and I don't end up with the sled I ordered.
Any feeback would be great.
Where in NH are you moving, I am in Merrimack.
Thanks,
Keech

Keech,
I went down and did it in person. However, after talking to Jack( one of the owners ), I was very very impressed. These people price their snow checks very aggressively and make a lot of their money on the margin volume sales. I am usually a very good judge of character and I got a great feeling from this place. They gave me a receipt after my 300 down payment but if I had known then I would have definitely done it through the mail.
GREAT PEOPLE DOWN THERE!

Also want to say that I addressed the hidden fees with the owner and he said that what I saw on the web + the 165 for freight and setup was the final price. The receipt also states that price.
