To resume the situation, this year, I decided to have my machine checked by a dealer, since I did not have a lot of time to take care of it myself. When leaving the shop, he told me "your snowmobile is good for the season!". Back home, I shortly noticed that one of the nut holding the left side runner was still missing (it was missing since my last ride). That did not put a lot of confidence in the rest of their work, so I pushed the inspection a bit further: 2 bad idler wheel bearing, drive shaft bearing (left side) not greased. Is there anything else I should look for that may require maintenence at this mileage?
The dealer did change motor oil (not even sure about the filter), chain case oil, and exhaust gaskets for near 500$.
Of course, I am giving the dealer a call today...
Thank you

When you say "exhaust gaskets" do you mean "exhaust donuts"? If so, that is where maybe $350 (??) of your $500 went.
How much money do you want to put into the sled? With the work needed that you already mentioned, I'd bet there's another $500 there at least.
Here's what else I'd have done. Others will chime in I'm sure...
1. Have cam chain tensioner replaced with updated version
2. Have rear mono shock pulled and recharged
3. Have front ski shocks pulled and recharged
4. Check rear skid for cracks
5. Have carbs pulled, cleaned then resynched (at least have them resynched)
6. Are you running any brand of dual runner carbides? Dual runners remove all of the darting from this sled.
7. Shim your skis to get the runners "flat" on the ground.
8. If your handlebar warmers don't work well, purchase "Rockmeisters" handlebar warmer kit. He can be found on this site.
9. I would have both clutch side drive bearings replaced with 8km on the sled.
I'm sure there's more, or others will say some of the above isn't necessary, but it's your sled.
Personally, if you have the $$$ I'd trade in the sled for a different one. Yamaha or otherwise. You're looking at another $400-500 for #'s 1-3 above. Good sled but not worth the investment of more money....IMO

Thanks Groomerdriver
I will inspect the skid for sure.
About the other points, the dealer did cleaned the carbs, not sure if he resynched them.
I am running dual runner carbides and they are at about 50%.
I will check with another dealer what is the price for clutch side bearings, as I do not have the required tools.
Warmers are working fine.
About the cam chain tensionner, I am still wondering if it is worth it or not... I sure don't hear it at all for now. Maybe next summer project.

If you've never had #'s 2 and 3 done, personally I do them for sure. Shimming the skis if needed help in the event that your carbides are wearing prematurely in front. I have .125" of shim on both sides.
Cam chain tensioner? = your call....engine is TOAST if it fails.
Good luck!
