If you have the folding key,be sure you put it in upside down IT WILL hang up on the gas tank and burn up the starter..Yamaha sent out a tech bullitin on this in Feb. 2006.Yamaha also asked dealers to tell buyers after Feb, of this problem. My dealer didnt tell me and small claims court judge told the dealer to pay. I am 4 months out of warrantee.Yamaha paid half the bill over 1000. Please pass this along to other 2006 riders.

i have seen this a couple times. the key will stick on the gas tank when you start your sled. only on the rx chassis make sure you put in upside down or better yet remove the folding plastic peaice all together and never worry about it.
