Hi, we purchased a 05 RS Vector that has the problems with the TORS (throttle Override Sensor). A couple days ago we called our dealer to make an appointment to have it repaired. With the TORS problem, my dad and I had to lift this heavy pile up onto the truck rather than drive it on. So when we get to the dealer, the service guy says they won't work on them for about 2 1/2 months. We tell them the problem and apparently we bought the sled about a month after Yamaha fixed the problem, but even though we're still having this problem they wont fix it under warranty. So my question is that shouldn't Yamaha still do it under warranty even if it is no longer a recall? Our dealer was C & C Sports and we won't be going back.

Lets move this to need a fix section.
There were some bad CDI boxes which caused a TORS problem (either that or you need more slack in the cable so the switch can activate).
I am about 98% positive that Yamaha will cover this, you just need to find a good dealer, or contact Yamaha. If you were in WI I could recommend some great dealers.
One thing sounds funny though. With a TORS problem it should run, just wont have much power. Carbs varnished up possibly??? Those pilot jets are tiny!
Dont know why the dealer wont fix it, just a couple bolts and it is plug and play.

If the sled was under warranty and the problem was not resolved and the dealer wont help. You should take your VIN number and call Customer Relations.
