I would think that these two machs you where running with, had 06 mapping installed,if that is the case I can believe you where all over them, and they fouled plugs and wouldn't start.
BUT, be very carfull about running a 05 with 05 mapping because your apex won't run with it if the guy has any clue.
This past monday my 05 mach-z with the 05 mapping and stock clutching ran 127.2 in 3000'
118.8 in 2000'
and 108.8 in 1000'
Not saying they all run this good, but don't judge them all by this one experiance.

The "mapping" that you are referring to is the fuel mapping for the fuel injection ?

Yes now thats how the big machs should be running,i think doo got scared by some fouling plugs in 05 and remapped the thing pig rich and in 06 some dont go over 115 gps but they ought to go well over 120 all day long, i have to buds w/05s and now they have bickfords set up on,w/twin pipes heads reeds and boondockers and are running 130+ and claim 210 hp according to bickford,they may have that kind of poop but those guys say now they are a handful in the trails,yup i told them what did ya exspect 200+ hp trail sleds to be like!!!adrenalator8 said:Glad to here your apex is working good,my buddie has one and he loves it except for the lack of any real top end.
