'07 Apex popping at WOT

I was riding a poker ride this past weekend so I was mostly on groomed trail and noticed the sled popping at WOT, I am guessing it was hitting the rev limiter and have noticed this occasionally in the past. I have been thinking about gearing the sled down a little to....do I need to add some more wieght to the cluthces too? The sled is all stock, any ideas/combinations would be helpful and appreciated. thanks

what elevation were you riding at?

yes that is the rev limiter.yes if you gear down you will have to add some clutch weight to compensate for the increase in rpm's
