Sled is occasionally missing at WOT 9300-9400 rpm. Installed new plugs, still misses sometimes. At what rpm does the rev limiter activate? Am I possibly over-reving the motor at WOT? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm pretty sure the rev limiter is 9350

Your definitely over revving and touching the limiter. I think you want to keep your revs 9000 rpm max for best performance

I think your tach is a bit optimistic, rev limiter should be 9150 - 9200.
At any rate you need clutch work, more weight/less spring.

Thanks for the good info. Sounds like I need to add a bit of weight. Is maximum torque at 8600-8800 rpm? Let it rev up to 9000 at WOT?

Unless you've done something, exhaust/programer, or such stock max torque is about 8400, max HP is about 8600, so about 8800 max RPM.
You should be able to find quite a few dyno tests on here.

Check the top of your weights for grooved spots (especially heelclicker but stock will also groove) on top...my 09 xtx eats weights...bouncing off rev limiter was usually first symptom.

Thanks guys. I have installed almost everything that Schmidt Bros. has available for the Nitro including exhaust. I will check for grooves. The clutch package is from Schmidt Bros. and they did my clutch work. I think the weights are custom. I have contacted Chris and hopefully he will help me out. Hey upie93, why do the weights groove on top? Sounds like it needs to rev at 8800 maximum. Thanks for all the good info.
