- 2016 RS Vector XTX 1.25 Lug wifes..2013 RS Vector LTX.. 2003 600 VMax Past Machines 3-2007 Attaks 1-2010 Vector LTX.. sorry no Stinkdoos or poo's cats.
Can't go wrong. Good choice considering the extra miles and cost for the other. I 3 attaks over the years. Started all 3 with no mileage really. I drove 700 miles to get one with only 600 miles. I put just about 10k miles on 2 of them before selling and the last one I put 4500 miles on it.New addition to the family. 07 attack 2600 miles. Now the very very impatient wait for snow
They did upgrade parts over the years on the Apex/Vectors but the Attak can be moded to make it similar. Rear cooler, or cable icescratchers are a must. Also Yamaheater for the hand warmers are needed. Friggen cold oem warmers. When the ypipes fail as well as donuts replace with stainless steel ypipes. I did those 3 and got the mileage I said. I don't ride hard but am a big guy.
The w arms were a weak point but mine got buy for many miles until I sent it in to get beefed up. Newer machines have it done already.
As you know lot's of good ole info on repairing and improving these machines. here.
I went for a new 2016 vector xtx leftover sled that was super priced. Drove 600 miles one way for that one. I had bought my wife a 2010 vector ltx and found it was a great machine same as the Attak or Apex but with 3 cyl and little less horse power. I felt the Vector ran like a raped ape as well. Still does. Enough for me. Saved a fortune and easier to maintain.
