My dealer is installing a new camoplast ice attack XT 1.22" pre studded track

Do I need to modify the tunnel protectors on my std 128" 2011 Apex when running this track?

Thanks :bling

Very nice track, too bad Camoplast does not offer a 2 ply version of these tracks. Run it tight for top end runs, additional material on tunnel protectors will help but scrubs speed as you will make contact.

I'm in the same boat. I have a xtx and installed the same track. I wonder if it is going to rub?

ur fine with pre studded, port yamaha is working on a tunnel protector kit to fix the flexing mounts... or take the protectors to a fab shop and have em squared off at the rail.

No.

track

i have xt track rode it a couple of times and i added 108 studs i did not feel safe, but i'm an old man, been riding for 40yrs, if your rolling along at 35-45 and nut it it breaks loose and i can't have that.

After 3,000km with no modifications to the stock tunnel protectors I have no clearance issues damage to the EXUP.

I have the same track and sled and I have some very minor scratches on the tunnel protectors and the lip of the muffler. Maybe a tighter track might help or stiffer setting on my suspension is needed.

Really, must be very close. I run my track on the loser side and I have bottomed out atleast a few dozen times. Ill have to watch it carefully
