If you look through the vent on the red one it looks like you can see the corner of the head...right? Where are the carbs/throttle bodies?? Looks real tight in there!

I knew you'd chime in. I take it you don't like the looks. I can't say I like them.

You don't like them now because it is so different. When something is radical it takes awhile to adjust to.

Why would you drop down to 1/2 the HP anyway? There is no way I would trade my apex for one - but that mountain version looks like a good sled for my wife.

This is a different class of sled than most of us on this site ride. My guess is that people will buy this for wives/kids/second sleds.

Well many people have said they will never buy a 4 stroke unless it is lightweight. Yamaha listened and trimed this thing down to make it light. Just think how far this puts Yamaha ahead in 4 stroke design. A low black windshield would do a lot for it's looks as well.
