yes yamaha did repair all of these issue's in 2010... took 4 years but they came around... and they sure added the price for all of these "fix-ups".

cheers

I did skid across a rock once looked under and only noticed bent sway bar link later that year saw what look like a hair line crack. Once it was out there were several small cracks did not seem structual (around tie rod holes ect) broght it in to be welded and cleaned up and found more
damage. I will try to post pics when i get it back. Make sure to clean it up good and get right in there with a light. My shock bolts amd a-arm bolts had be cut out they were so bent. lower a- arms were twisted bad had be be replaced.

Well just heading out to the garage... all parts are in.. reasembly is to begin! Thanks Big-Red1a.. i will take a real close look at the bulkhead.. ya if you can post pics that would be great! this really has my curiousity!

cheers!

bulk head damage

Sorry the bulk head is at the shop being repaired righ now.
I found this pic you can see in the top left corner the small crack. (top right of tie tod boot) When i got it removed i noticed alot more damage that i could not see when it was covered in grease and attached to the sled. Notice the a-arm bolts and bushings or lack of. I am by no means saying take you bulk head out because it is alot of work but cleaning and checking it over with a light can prevent further damage. I will post pics when i get it back from the welder.

well just got back from finishing my entire front end.. everyhting worked out great!!!.. no cracks or damage...

big_re1a... your sled had to have taken a hard noise dive!! these arms are pretty stout, but to crack the bulkhead!.. wow!

last winter when crossing a bridge my carbides weddged themselves between the bridge bords and stopped the sled dead!!! completely up on the front bumper and sent me flying!!! thought for sure i'd find the arms curled under the sled.... not so! nothing wrong... very strong.

well when you get your bulkhead back i'm sure more would like to see!
