What is the deal, apparently Snowgoer has claimed the Nytro rear skid to be subpar? I really enjoyed riding my friends 06 RTX and decided to pick up an 07 but I'm very worried I will not like the rear skid. What are your thoughts on the new skid and why do you think they switched from the mono to the pro-active ck?

Its all personal oppinion. I test rode one and I will tell you this, if you like to pound bumps you will not be disappointed. Yamaha went with Pro Active CK in the RTX because they feel it is a better bump suspension than the mono. Some will disagree. Remember this, Do Not Believe All That You Read In Magazines! I have rode sleds that magazines have stated, this is the sled to have and in my oppinion was terrible and vice versa. You will have to judge for yourself, but I do not believe you will be disappointed. Just my 2 cents!

The CK is better for launching of bumps and that while the Mono just soaks it all up.

I agree with oak hill.......remember these are just people voicing there opinions through the magazines that we read......doesn't mean we always have to agree with them.Cobalt congrats on the new sled i think they look awesome and i think you will like it just fine.
