I'm I the only 1 with this situation...when the light goes on at about 140 to 160kms telling me I'm low on fuel and the gauge showing only 1 bar...I drive up to the pumps only to find out I still have 7 to 8 litres left based on a 35.6L tank capacity which is already smaller by 3L +/- previous models, is this the norm, with my '05 RX1 I usually had 3 to 4 litres, just curious if other '08 owners noticed the same?

Is this something that can be calibrated to get a better reading on fuel gauge and warning light sync.

You guys are lucky. My light comes on with 2 bars left and approx. 10.5 liters (2.75 gal.) in the tank. I have to see that light for long time!

I would also be interested to know if this is something that can be re-calibrated?

In 03 my RXI the light would tell me that I still had 10-12 liters which was good for at least 50 miles .My 06 APEX ran out at 30 miles but if you feather the throttle your good for another 5 miles before you walk. :o|

I have so far put on 40 kms on the reserve light on my 08 LTX GT. This was mostly deep fields/trails. Got me back to the pumps and still had a bit left.

i try not to have the light come on before filling, if i'm in an area where there is fuel and i'm below 1/2 a tank i top off

Light comes on and you have about 30 miles of "groomed" miles until you're SOL.
My light came on at 122 miles and I rode another 17 miles to the next gas station and filled it up and it only took 7.4 gallons, so I had 3 gallons left. This happened on a trip up on the Keweenaw of Michigan, and this is the only time I've seen that happen. I had 3 bars left on the fuel gauge when the light came on. It was dark so the light was the first thing I noticed. Most of the time it comes on at 1 bar left. What would make come on at diffferent times? Gene

Wow, that's almost 19 MPG! I didn't know that was even possible.

Your last question is what we are hoping someone knows and also if/how it can be adjusted?

My light came on at 88miles.....gas up at 127miles still had 4 liters in the tank.

My light seams to come on at the 80-85mile mark

Yeah I know ;)! :4STroke: . I am consistantly getting between 17 and 18.5 mpg depending on how hard I'm riding. The trip I was talking about, my 13 yr. old son was riding his own sled so we were only gettin up to about 70-80 mph max. I do run my track as loose as possible without ratcheting and I have Pioneer performance marginal snow kit and small wheel kit now and it seem s to free up quite a bit of friction, heck now I even have to use the brake coming into corners instead of just using the engine breaking,(there's not much engine breaking now).
